= Keyboard Setup == Connections Keyboards are connected to the mixer via what are called "direct input" boxes. TSC has two models of these - ProCo CB-1 and Rapco db 100. They should be functionally identical. Here is what the Rapco box looks like: [[Image(/static/img/rapco-db-100-top.jpg,width=400)]] [[Image(/static/img/rapco-db-100-qtr.jpg,width=500)]] [[Image(/static/img/rapco-db-100-xlr.jpg,width=500)]] The first photo is the top view. On one end of the box are three 1/4" jacks: input, pass-through output and ground lift. On the opposite end of the box is an XLR male jack. Make the following connections: - Connect a 1/4" to 1/4" balanced (TRS) cable from the keyboard to the input jack (the one marked "Inst High Z In") on the DI box. - Connect an XLR cable from the XLR jack (the one marked "Low Z Output") on the DI box to the mixer. Optionally, if the musician playing the keyboard requests it, connect a 1/4" to 1/4" balanced (TRS) cable from the 1/4" pass-through jack (the one marked "Inst High Z Out") on the DI box to the piano monitor (the one closest to the keyboards). == Multiple Keyboards If there are two keyboards and one plays melody while the other plays effects (similar to the "organ"), the keyboard playing melody should be connected to mixer input _Keyboard 1_ while the keyboard playing effects should be connected to mixer input _Keyboard 2_.
